My name is Alexia Van Heel and I am the founder of Elev8 Youth Life Skills. This program is very personal to me as I was emancipated at the young age of 15. I was legally independent and on my own. I encountered so many adversities, bounced around from house to house and was homeless at one point. It was a rough ride that I would not wish upon anyone. I was confronted with numerous opportunities for improvement that I was forced to quickly recognize, own and recycle into what I call life skills. I eventually found my way, was on the honor roll, Dean's list, played varsity sports and graduated high school. I have a Bachelor’s degree and two Masters degrees. Now, I’m working my dream job as a Trauma Physician Assistant. I am happily married and have two incredibly energetic children who keep me very engaged and on my toes. Aaliya (13 yo) and Jaden (12 yo) own their own mobile mini donut business called Mini Donuts & Treats and I couldn’t be more proud.
Elev8 Our Youth by introducing life skills that challenge them to discover their full potential. Motivate them to achieve their goals. Foster financial responsibility and assist with the development of quality work life balance…while overcoming the demands of everyday life.
